Dittmar Dancing with Queens
Joe Dittmar (Hicksville, NY) is the big stack with 2.5 million chips. His biggest hand of the tournament came just after the dinner break when he cracked Kyle Burnside's pocket kings with pocket queens to take a 1.5 million chip pot.
Dittmar only had a 20% chance to win the hand, but he hit a queen to take Burnside's big stack of 750k and vault into the chip lead. Burnside finished 55th for $11,740.
Dittmar has built himself a nice Borgata resume by making two final tables since June. He finished 3rd ($14,000) in the Big Stack tournament during the Summer Poker Open and 10th ($8,000) in the August double play.
39 remain as the players are just back from a 15 minute break. Blinds are now 10k/20k/2k ante and the average stack is 1 million (50 BB).
