Event 20: 11th Place - Failla

$3300 + $200 WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship NLH

Will "The Thrill" Failla

The dream of back-to-back WPT titles is over for Will "The Thrill" Failla, who's cripppled by Jin Hwang when Failla's pocket queens are run down by pocket jacks.

With the blinds 40k/80k/5k ante, we pick up the action with Failla taking the action to 250k. Hwang moves all in for 2.345 million total putting Failla into the tank.

After a careful count, Failla has slightly more than Hwang and "Thrill" calls.

Failla: Q Q♠
Hwang: J♠ J♣

Failla's 80/20 advantage is gone on a flop of  A J♠ 9, as Hwang flops a set and then turns quads with the J♣.

Failla is left with just 100k and busts the next hand, while Hwang doubles to 4.7 million.

"I was trying to do something that's never been done before," says Failla, who would have been the first to win twice in a row on the tour.  "I got it in good, but the chips ended up where they were supposed to go."
