Maccaroni Celebrates the Win
It takes nearly 5 1/2 hours of heads up play over three games before Matthew Maccaroni finally defeats Randy Feder in the quarterfinals.
"Way too many times," says Maccaroni, "I had him all in seven times before I finally got him."
The final hand was K♠ 10♦ vs 10♣ 9♦ with a ten on the flop, and when Maccaroni's better kicker holds he advances to the semifinals to take on Travis Greenawalt.
"I'm never playing this game again," says Feder who loses the match two games to one, but walks away with $7,712 as a quarterfinal loser.
Maccaroni needs to catch his breath while Greenawalt's been waiting for three hours after sweeping Austen Johnson in the quarterfinals.
