Micahel Watters (Queens, NY) held the chip lead after getting what he called the key hand of the tournament for him when he had a set of threes at the final table.
His friend Justin Cillo was on the rail to congratulate his friend and pass on the championship title. Justin won this same tournament in last year's Open Event 13.
"I came to defend his title and did it" exclaimed Watters.
Looking back to the first post I did 12 hours ago for Michael, his tablemate predicted he would win the tournament. Should have put some money on it - would have paid dividends.
And he did it without having to re-buy even once.
Congrats again for outlasting 1218 entries, playing high-level poker for 19 1/2 hours, and taking home the Blue Shark Optics sunglasses, the 2011 Borgata Poker Open trophy, and $51,974.
