Event 6: Smith Stacks

Event 6: Shasho Plays to Win

After three-betting from the small blind and having his opponent shove, Michael Shasho (Ramsey, NJ) gave it some thought then let his AK offsuit go.

"I'm playing to win" he says.  "Would you put in $50k pre-flop with AK offsuit in a cash game?" he continued.  (I certainly wouldn't, but I know some people who would.)

Michael was very confident he was facing a pair and didn't want to flip for most of his stack at this point in the tournament.

The level ran out and 42 surviving players enjoyed some time away from the tables.

Event 7: The Builder

Richard Tukcer (Charlotte, NC) left the jobsite for the poker table.

The "Queen City" builder runs a North Carolina based construction company when he's not raking pots at Borgata.

So far, he's had no trouble building great table image and constructing a huge chip-stack.
